Cryolipolysis | Coolsculpting®:

The name CoolSculpting® refers to the treatment system developed by Allergan (formerly ZELTIQ). The medical method behind it is called cryolipolysis. The principle of cryolipolysis is based on the observation that fat cells can be destroyed and their number reduced by targeted cooling. Depending on the treatment area(s), we apply one or more applicators to the relevant parts of the body. A vacuum is used to draw small fat deposits into the applicators. The area to be treated is then cooled to approx. +4 °C. This process takes 35 minutes – during this time, you can read, listen to music, watch TV, sleep, or work on your tablet.

The treatment with the applicator causes the suctioned and cooled tissue to bulge. Our CoolSculpting® specialist then massages the treated area for 2 minutes.

The effect: the cooled fat cells are naturally broken down by the body in the following weeks.

As described, the applicators suck in the small fat deposits. Some patients find the suction temporarily uncomfortable in the first few minutes.
However, pain is not to be expected. After about 5 minutes, the skin becomes numb due to the cooling—apart from a slight pressure, you should then usually no longer feel anything from the cryolipolysis. The two-minute massage after cooling is clearly noticeable and can be somewhat painful.

The CoolSculpting® treatment is particularly gentle on your skin. This is ensured by the unique and patented Freeze-Detect® technology from CoolSculpting® manufacturer Allergan (formerly ZELTIQ).

The CoolSculpting® method can be used on different parts of the body. These include in particular:

But that’s not all:

With the new CoolMini™ applicator, CoolSculpting® can also be used on smaller areas of the body, e.g.:

CoolSculpting® is no method for treating obesity. Cryolipolysis is suitable for smaller and moderate fat deposits that are resistant to diet and can be clearly defined. We would be happy to discuss whether CoolSculpting® is the right treatment method for you in a consultation with a specialist.

After about 6-8 weeks, you should slowly begin to see smaller fat deposits start to disappear. It can take up to 12 weeks or more for CoolSculpting® to reach its maximum effect. After the treatment, the body breaks down the small fat deposits that were treated in a natural way. This takes a certain amount of time.

Please also note: One treatment per area is usually sufficient to achieve good results – however, the outcome depends on the patient, i.e., their individual physical condition, such as eating habits or physical activity, as well as their expectations. The CoolSculpting® treatment can be repeated if desired.

This will give you an initial impression of the results that can be achieved. After your CoolSculpting® session, you can leave our clinic and go about your daily routine as usual. You can even resume exercising immediately afterwards.
