Breast correction for men:

You should be in good health and feel physically fit before undergoing surgery. Alcohol should be avoided if possible, and you should refrain from smoking before surgery. Blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin® should not be taken for ten days prior to the procedure.

To remove the excess mammary gland tissue, our specialists make inconspicuous and virtually invisible incisions at the edge of the nipple. The surgery is completed under general anesthesia after one to one and a half hours. To achieve the most even result possible, we also perform liposuction (fat removal) to remove excess fatty tissue if necessary, ensuring perfect masculine contouring of the breast shape.

After the surgery, an inconspicuous compression undershirt is fitted, which should be worn day and night for six weeks.

Mild painkillers can relieve the feeling of pressure in the first few days after the surgery. You can usually return to work after a few days, provided that you feel fit enough and follow our recommendation to take it easy. You should avoid strenuous physical or sporting activities for the first six weeks.

The incisions are closed with self-dissolving sutures, so there is no need to remove stitches. The scars are initially reddened, but fade over time and are usually very inconspicuous. You should avoid sun exposure for six months after the surgery to ensure that the scars remain discreet and light in color.

In rare cases, gynecomastia can recur, e.g., when taking medication. In such cases, it is usually not a problem to repeat the breast correction. Regular check-ups help to detect and treat any complications at an early stage.
