A firm, defined abdomen is a sign of youth, athleticism, and attractiveness. Weight loss, previous pregnancies, or genetic predisposition can cause excess skin and fatty tissue that cannot be eliminated through diet alone. With our innovative procedure, we offer you the perfect method for achieving a defined, athletic contour in your midsection.
We provide individual advice on abdominoplastys tailored to your needs. Your procedure will take place at our private clinic, where you can expect the safety and comfort of a modern hospital. We recommend that our patients stay in our clinic for one to two days to ensure an undisturbed healing process after their abdominoplasty.

Athletic contours through combination with liposuction
Foto: Stephan Wieland, Düsseldorf To give your midriff a defined and athletic contour, we combine abdominoplasty with liposuction. This not only reduces unwanted fat deposits on the hips, upper abdomen, and lower abdomen, but also sculpts the natural contours of your abdominal muscles through modeling liposuction of fatty tissue (lipoabdominoplasty).
In addition, we remove excess skin and fatty tissue from the lower abdomen, achieving a noticeable tightening of the skin up to the rib cage. The navel is also given a more attractive shape and emphasis. At the same time, the straight abdominal muscles that have separated are returned to their original, taut position if necessary. The scar required for this method of abdominoplasty is hidden in the bikini line.
Less pain, more mobility, no drains
© Stephan Wieland, Düsseldorf Thanks to our special surgical procedure, in which we combine modeling liposuction with tightening of the skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue and close the wound cavity internally with self-dissolving sutures, the dreaded wound drains are usually unnecessary. This means less pain and more freedom of movement after your abdominoplasty.
In normal cases, you can leave the clinic after 24 hours and are allowed to shower again on the day of discharge. Please talk to us about the possibility of avoiding drains! We will advise you in detail on the most suitable procedure for you!
We take the time to address your questions, wishes, and concerns, and provide you with transparent information about opportunities, risks, and possible complications.

Who is a candidate for a abdominoplasty?
If sagging or drooping abdominal skin can no longer be improved through exercise, diet, or other procedures such as BodyTite™, a abdominoplasty using our state-of-the-art method is the procedure of choice. This procedure can also effectively correct separated abdominal muscles, also known as “rectus diastasis.” In addition, we give the belly button an attractive new shape.
How can I prepare for a abdominoplasty?
You should have reached your ideal weight before the surgery. This will improve the long-term results of your surgery. If you are planning to become pregnant in the near future, it is advisable to postpone the procedure until after pregnancy, as the tightened rectus muscles will separate during pregnancy and the tightened skin may become overstretched again.
You should be in good health before the planned procedure. To reduce the risk of complications, smoking should be kept to a minimum until the wound has healed, or better still, stopped altogether. Please also inform our doctors about any other medical conditions you may have and any medication you are taking. We recommend allowing approximately two weeks of recovery time following the procedure.
What are the risks of a abdominoplasty?
When performed by experienced plastic surgeons, complications are rare and usually insignificant for a lasting good result.
Every procedure carries an increased risk of thrombosis. We therefore recommend thrombosis prophylaxis for 5 days after your abdominoplasty. Infections of the wound area are very rare. As with any surgery, bruising and swelling may occur after a abdominoplasty, but these usually heal on their own. Postoperative bleeding is a rare complication and must be treated surgically. Risk factors can be minimized through a detailed consultation with us. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have in a one-on-one consultation.
What can I expect after the surgery?
In the first few days after the surgery, you will experience mild to moderate pain in the wound area. With appropriate pain relief, you’ll be able to move through this phase comfortably. You will wear a compression garment for approximately 6 weeks and should avoid heavy physical work until then. Depending on the physical strain, you can resume your normal daily activities after a few days. You can resume sports activities after about six weeks, in consultation with us.
We will answer your questions in detail during a non-binding initial consultation.
